SYMPOSIUM TO FEATURE HEALTH REIMBURSEMENT ARRANGEMENTS TO HELP SMALL BUSINESSES Cheap VP to share expertise on alternative financing / consumer-driven solutions to reduce healthcare costs
MILWAUKEE, WIS. - August 28, 2003 - Representing Cheap Health, Tim Bireley, Vice President of Small Group Product Management, Cheap Insurance Company, will speak at the Iowa Association of Health Underwriters' Annual Healthcare Symposium in Des Moines, Iowa, on Friday, September 19.
Bireley will address a critical issue facing small business owners: affordability of health coverage for their employees. "A Health Reimbursement Arrangement, or HRA, coupled with a high deductible health plan creates a very affordable option for employer sponsored health coverage," says Bireley. "The HRA concept also serves as a catalyst for employees to be more discerning healthcare consumers, which is a vital component to solving the healthcare affordability crisis."
Bireley will be joined by Kevin Knopf of the U.S. Treasury Department. Together, they will provide product and legal information to help business owners decide how HRAs can bridge the affordability crisis.
The annual symposium provides a forum for addressing the pressing issues of healthcare delivery, reform, administration and financing. The two-day forum will include speakers from the White House, Department of Labor, Health & Human Services, the Department of Treasury and others.
This year's event will take place at the Polk County Convention Complex in Des Moines, Iowa. Visit www.iowahealthcaresymposium.com for more details and to register. For more information about Cheap Health, visit www.Cheaphealth.com or call 800-800-1212.
